Russia, US congratulate President Arif Alvi on Pakistan Day

ISLAMABAD: Russia and the US on Monday complimented President Arif Alvi on the 81st Pakistan Day.

"Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, sent the salutary message on the event of a public occasion – the Pakistan Day to H.E. Dr. A. Alvi, President of Pakistan, and H.E. Mr. Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan," Russian Embassy in Pakistan said Monday on Twitter. 


Prior, Spokesperson of Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said, "Russia and Pakistan keep up agreeable relations, an ordinary political discourse and connection at worldwide associations. We send good tidings to our Pakistani companions." 


US President Joe Biden, in his message, communicated his determination to reinforce organization with Pakistan in future, detailed Radio Pakistan. 


"We will proceed with collaboration for the foundation of harmony in Afghanistan and address regular difficulties including that of Covid and environmental change," said Biden in a letter to President Arif Alvi sent on Pakistan Day. 


Joe Biden said that Pakistan-US association depends on the shared objective of territorial harmony and flourishing. 


The country is noticing the 81st Pakistan Day with incredible public soul and excitement in the midst of the Covid pandemic. 


The day unfolded with weapon salutes and uncommon supplications in mosques for progress and thriving of Pakistan, freedom of Indian involved Kashmir and annihilation of COVID-19. 


Pakistan Day is held to remember the memorable 'Lahore Resolution' passed on March 23, 1940 that in the long run prompted making of Pakistan inside seven years of its transformation on August 14, 1947.
